RCMP and Haven Society Celebrate Partnership

On March 14, 2007, RCMP Victim Services and Haven Society Community Victim Services signed an agreement confirming their working relationship as they collaborate to provide services to victims of crime in Nanaimo. The Referral Protocol Agreement reflects practices that have developed between the two victim services programs over the last few years. The two victim services programs are committed to a coordinated and client centered approach to providing emotional support and justice related services to individuals and their families who experience the impact of crime. RCMP Victim Services provides support to victims of all crimes and Haven Society Community Victim Services provides support to female and child victims of crimes associated with relationship violence, abuse and sexual assault. RCMP and Haven Society celebrate this acknowledgement of their partnership that builds a safer community.
